Drum Major/Trumpet
“Hello all! My name is Baleigh Readus and I’ve had the honor and privilege of serving as the Marching Mustangs’ Drum Major and 1st Concert Trumpet! I believe in music and how it reaches beyond racial, linguistic, societal, and cultural boundaries. We work together in properly serving justice to this beautiful and complex form of art as performers, entertainers, and most importantly musicians!”
Trumpet/French Horn
“I’ve been in Southeastern’s band since the start in 2017. I originally started in the drumline, however after 6th grade I became a horn player and started playing trumpet. These have been some of the most fun years, and even through trial and error, I wouldn’t change the outcome of anything. Watching our band grow to the size it has warms my heart, and I’m excited to see how far we can go.”

"This would be my second year in Colorguard. I am the colorguard captain for this year. I joined Colorguard 2022 that was our first time having a Colorguard it was really hard in the beginning but it was so worth it in the end. I have made so many memories and friends. They are not just a team but are like family. I really enjoy Colorguard and just being with my team and watching my team improve. I can’t wait to see how this season turns out! Can’t wait to make many more memories with the band."

“In seventh grade, I played snare. It was the tiny band's first year marching. Seeing how much this band has grown and improved impresses me beyond measure. I am grateful that I was able to be a part of the band's first colorguard, and am even more grateful to lead this year's team.”
